Ryan Travis
Ryan Travis is an ambitious and innovative young director and writer. He began his career as a filmmaker at the University of Colorado at Boulder where he graduated with honors receiving a BFA in Film Production. During his time in the Rockies, Ryan worked for NBC at the Salt Lake Winter Olympics as a consultant for the snowboard events, while shooting videos for the world-renowned action sports film company Warren Miller Entertainment. He has become an expert in obtaining memorable shots in remote locations from Hawaiian Islands to the mountains of Austria. Shooting from helicopters, underwater, and in adverse conditions has become second nature.
Ryan has directed Music Videos for popular artists, from Counting Crows to John McLaughlin. His short film for the band, Five A.M. featured Edward Furlong, Ice T, and Rumer Willis, and his commercial spots for BMW, Nike, and numerous other auto brands have been a glowing addition to his ever-expanding reel. His passion for action sports has not been set on the back burner, as he has directed spots for Alycium and Volcom.
Ryan’s style stems from an innate understanding of visual storytelling. Through intense action and dynamic camera movement, he adds his distinctive vision to everything he works on. While collaborating with the numerous creative forces on any given project, he is still able to expand on every attribute of the production and stay true to his creative vision. Ryan’s ability to bring life to a piece of paper with creative choices has made his reel incomparable.
